Not Prints are a series of pen and ink drawings that have been replicated by hand to create, seemingly, duplicated or reversed images. In this work I aim to create mystery. I have layered ideas on top of each other, like a work of detective fiction. The images are not intended to be identical but similar enough that they could easily be mistaken for another. All the works in this series also share a theme of ‘there it is’ where the subjects in each image are shown pointing the way. The unifying (seen) theme connects the images as an identifiable series and helps to mask the effect of the copy before it is broken.
